The Blackberry Motion has become very common in the United States as well in Cnadian market. It is a big slab modern touchscreen kind of phone. It is a very appreciable phone with solid build quality with a sensible price.

Blackberry Motion has decent set of specs and some good software customization that are geared towards business and productivity. They tried going up against the Samsung Galaxy S8 which is similarly priced.

For this phone there is no glass back at all hence you don’t have to pamper it. It got the faux carbon fiber finish on back.

The major drawback is that there’s no wireless charging on the Blackberry Motion.

The device has a 5.5 inch IPS display. This is a big screen phone same size as the One Plus Five or an iPhone 8 Plus full HD decent quality.

This is a GSM unlocked phone, so if you’re in one of the offshoot GSM carriers overseas this is the phone for you.

For Android users they got the high-end flagships devices with extreme prices. One may need something that looks a little different and pretty solidly built and pretty secure. The Blackberry Motion has more than this in a quite lower price.

The phone is made by the Blackberry Mobile. Blackberry Mobile is actually TCL communications and they also sell Alcatel branded phones. They also sell TVs under the TCL label. They licensed the BlackBerry brand name and they’re using that same Android customized rather Blackberry operating system. That’s why we’ve seen BlackBerry’s own phones running Android OS.

For the Blackberry Motion, it runs on 7.1.2 Nougat. Nothing is much said about it having the Oreo update. It got the old stuff like the BBM and the Blackberry Hub which is a unified inbox. It can be nice but can also be a little bit overwhelming because you’ve got a whole lot of social networking, email and all sorts of things pouring into there at the same time.

The Dtek App which is a pretty decent application that reminds you about all the possible security settings. You should be so concerned about on the phone permissions.

There’s also BlackBerry’s own customized keyboard which you will like a lot. Actually nice that are much well responsive and easy to click. The customization available in the Blackberry Motion are all about enhancing the PIM applications. This is mostly dedicated to the business users and for people who just really want to get things done quickly.

For the Blackberry Motion there is no a multimedia thing. There is no fancy multimedia features or anything like. All that is there are just your basics. The phone supports voice over LTE and Wi-Fi call. Wi-Fi calling indicator is seen on top of screen for easy access. It also has NFC, the SIM dual stand by, Wi-Fi 802 11 AC and Bluetooth 4.2.

Blackberry Motion has a full HD LCD display and it’s decent enough looking at it. There is much plenty in a pixel density much more of the iPhone 8 Plus. It has decent brightness and you can view it outside easily. Viewing angles are pretty fine.

It got a notification white LED. You can do vibration or auditory alerts according to your preference.

There’s a convenience key on the right side with a texture kind of neural thing. One might confuse that with the home button. Volume controls are just over the lock button. On the other side you’ve got your SIM card carrier and micro SD card carrier. It can use cards up to 256 gigabytes in capacity. It has 32 gigabytes of internal storage and 4 gigabytes of RAM. On the bottom is a USB C charging port it does support USB sandwiched between the phone jack and average sounding speaker.

The metal frame on this phone is an interesting design. From the curves and carbon fibre gives the device that glance look weighing just 157 grams.

The Balckberry Motion has a fingerprint scanner below the screen which is a clicky button and also acts as the home buttom. There are the normal navigation capacitive buttons for all your controls.

Multitasking with the device ain’t a problem. It has a Snapdragon 625 octa-core CPU. That’s a mid-range CPU which is befitting the price. It does more than that which is expected of the mid-range devices.

Cameras always do an impressive work. It has an 8 megapixel front selfie camera with f 2.2 lens. The rear 12 megapixel camera comes with an F 2.0 lens a lot like the Key One. The software here is pretty intuitive. You got your aspect ratio, the HDR modes all that sort of thing. Videos can be shoot at 4k at 30 frames per second.

Blackberry Motion has a huge battery, 4000 milliamps.

It’s an unlocked version so you can use it with any carrier.
